EXOTIKA PALKOVICE POBESKYDÍ 2026

With great pleasure, we are now announcing to you, together with the organizing committee of the event, for your calendar for next year 2026, that we have returned our regular June 2026 international meeting, under the new official name and new organizational mode “EXOTIKA PALKOVICE POBESKYDÍ 2026” again to Palkovice, after more than 30 years of the event precisely in Palkovice na Hůrkách, with the then organizational help of Mr. Pavel Poledník.
The one-day event for the whole day will take place on June 13, 2026 in Palkovice near Frýdek-Místek in the extensive area of the POD HABEŠEM restaurant, with the really great support of the successful mayor of Palkovice, Mr. Radim Bača, the operator of the POD HABEŠEM restaurant, Mr. Radek Čepan, and the main sponsor of the event, the agricultural section and the growing section of the technological company ALMIRO FOR VEGETATION s.r.o., but also with local organizations of small and domestic animal breeders of Palkovice, gardeners of Palkovice and bonsaiists of Palkovice. Furthermore, with the support of growers of cacti, succulents, also carnivorous plants, ornamental woody plants and witch hazels and other exotic plants of all kinds, from local and other North Moravian sources.
We will already reveal that we will also exhibit many plant specimens at the event with a very rich and diverse exchange of cacti, succulents, carnivores, witches’ brooms, bonsai, ornamental trees and other exotic plants, as well as an exhibition and exchange of small animals and birds, growing and breeding advice, there will also be a mini-zoo with a free range of small domestic animals and ornamental poultry for families with children and other visitors to the event, there will also be extensive and special exhibitions of exotic beetles and butterflies, and very successful photographs of the Palkovice traveler and photographer Ivan Ivánek will be exhibited.
In 2024, Ivan Ivánek was selected and presented in the Peoples Choice category of the most prestigious international wildlife photography competition Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and his photographs were subsequently published in world media, including the American Forbes.
Visitors to the event will also see practical growing and breeding workshops, including demonstrations of beautiful flower arrangements, and families with children have a special free relaxation program in the kindergarten area. The aim of the event is to satisfy not only adult specialist growers, breeders and all lovers of exotic nature, but also, above all, to appeal to the smallest, just starting future growers and breeders of all kinds, primarily families with children, so that we have a new future generation of new growers and breeders, and therefore the emerging generation of nature lovers in general.
For children and young novice growers, we will also give away free seedlings of cacti, succulents, carnivores and other exotic plants, and advise them on their beginnings, so that we can help novices take the first and most important step, so that children can immediately start growing or breeding anything exotic at home, from the first moment at our event, especially we want to give the children the necessary initial impulse.
